Meg Nester
Communications
Chair
My name is Meg Nester. I moved to Wichita Falls after graduating with a degree in Communications—just until I saved enough money to continue traveling and settle someplace exotic. Well, that was in 1999. I quickly realized there was more to this city than my little 22-year-old brain projected.
Over the last 27 years, I have been actively involved with the Hotter ‘n Hell Hundred Steering Committee, Backdoor Theatre—Wichita Falls’ only nonprofit community theatre—and have volunteered with numerous nonprofits to support fundraisers and community events.
I learned about Impact100 in August 2025 through a friend who said the woman-run organization that gives back to the community would be right up my alley. I had gone through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University the year before and was LOVING my new financial freedom. Having dedicated funds every month to give away really gave me a serotonin high. I’d always been able to give my time, so contributing financially felt especially meaningful.
Seeing the needs of the many nonprofits in Wichita, Wilbarger, Clay & Archer counties over the last year has been eye-opening. I am happy, honored & humbled to serve as the Communications Director of Impact100 Wichita Falls.
