In their premiere year, the Impact 100 Wichita Falls group was able to award one deserving local nonprofit organization with a $59,000 grant.

This year in 2021, the group is setting the prize even higher with an $81,000 grant going to one group in the greater Wichita Falls area.

The grant announcement came during a virtual big reveal meeting Thursday where members learned how many women have joined their organization and how many have renewed their membership this year.

The Impact 100 group is a simple but powerful concept where women come together to collectively give a minimum of $1,000 each toward a grant.

Starting with 59 women in 2020, the group now has 81 members. This gets them even closer to their goal of 100 members, which would allow them to offer a $100,000 annual grant.

Through this grant, Impact 100 allows nonprofits to use the funding for critical needs, new ventures, and innovative ways to solve social problems

In 2020, Impact 100 awarded the grant to The Arc of Wichita County for their Day Hab expansion project. Specifically, for the purchase of an adjacent property to allow for expansion of classroom space and a parking lot expansion. Completion of this project would allow The Arc to double the number of clients they serve.
